10am : Guided tour of the castle.
The Chateau of Fontainebleau, mentionned for the first time during the 12th Century, received between its walls the most important sovereigns of France. The latters continuously embellished and extended the castle making of it a unique example of a loved and regularly inhabited residence for more than eight centuries.
12.30 : Lunch in the city centre.
starter, main course, dessert, 1/4 of wine and a coffee.
2.30 pm : Jeu de Paume demonstration.
Inside the castle the Jeu de Paume Hall is one of the three lasts active ones remaining in France. The "Maître Paumier" will tell you the History of the Jeu de Paume, the rules of the game, the manufacture of the balls and will do a demonstration.
3.30pm : Gardens and Courtyards of the Castle.
Courtyards, parks and gardens show another dimension of the art de vivre in the Castle. From the French gardens designed by Le Nôtre to the Farewell Courtyard and the Garden of Diane, an itinerary where facades and courtyards, fountains and flowerbeds will allude to the glorious hours of the palace.

Every day throughout the year between 9.30 am and 5 pm.
Closed on Tuesday.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
1st of April to 30th of Septembre : the castle is opened from 9am to 6pm and the gardens from 9am to 7pm.
