The Naturiales
A bucolic, festive weekend in the heart of Fontainebleau!
Place de la République
77300 Fontainebleau
77300 Fontainebleau
Join us on May 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. to see the city transformed into an extraordinary garden! For the occasion, Place de la République will be divided into four themed areas:
Space 1: Living Forest
Dive into the great book of wild nature. There's no narrator here, just hundred-year-old trees, birds seeking shelter and discreet insects working behind the scenes. The forest whispers its secrets, and it's up to you to listen.
Espace 2: Nature in Fontainebleau, between town and forest
Nature has its roots everywhere, even between the cobblestones. Come and discover how it infiltrates the city and how, with a few clever gestures, you can give it a helping hand.
Area 3: From sustainable plate to living soil
It's only a short step from seed to plate. Learn how to feed the earth and make it pay, how to consume without wasting, and how to grow differently.
Area 4: Energy, climate, low-tech and mobility
Come and try out concrete solutions for a more sober and more ingenious city. Soft mobility, low-tech innovations, renewable energies: set a course for Fontainebleau in 2030.
This plant-based event transforms the town into an extraordinary garden, where flowers, plants, know-how and green initiatives come together in the heart of the town for a joyful, inspiring and sustainable interlude.
A life-size floral market
Stroll among a hundred or so enthusiastic exhibitors and leave with your arms full of flowers, plants, shrubs, garden accessories and decorative objects. Whether you're an experienced gardener or an enthusiastic amateur, there's something for every taste and every balcony!
Plant swap
Share your cuttings, seeds and tips with other gardening enthusiasts at the Espaces Verts stand. It's also an opportunity to drop off your plant protection products and pick up some mulch.
Gardening workshops for all
Planters, seedlings, playful repotting for children: with your hands in the soil, you can cultivate your love of plants alongside expert gardeners.
Numerous participatory workshops await you: building nesting boxes and insect hotels, repairing bicycles with the "Repair Café", making seed bombs, gardening advice and much more! And let's not forget the activities for the whole family: the educational farm, the adventure trail or the ecological merry-go-round "L'Ile Aux Pirates".
Highlights not to be missed:
- The official christening of the rose created for the town, on Saturday May 17 at 11 a.m.
- The Fontainebleau en Transition conference on Tuesday, May 14 at 7pm (Théâtre Municipal), to discuss soft mobility, green energy, biodiversity and zero waste.
- The "Éloge de la Forêt" show, on Saturday May 17 at 8:30pm at the Médiathèque: an engaging tale combining piano, acrobatics, slam and images.
- The "Best Fontainebleau" competition, on Sunday May 18 at the Grand Parquet (for professionals only), with the creation of traditional and revisited recipes.
In these areas, you'll be able to indulge yourself at the gourmet stands! Tasty breaks on site and local products to take away:
- Les Frangins - burgers and pokes
- Dolce Mama - artisanal ice creams
- Kombi Bar - hot dogs and specialties from Aveyron
And also: organic fruit, jams, local honeys, home-made preserves...
An event to delight young and old, to learn together and to take action to protect our planet!
