Historically, Kakou and Anthonin (+) are 20-year-old donkeys from an association, evicted from their meadow following interpersonal conflicts.
Despite numerous attempts, no solution has been found to keep them together in their region. Faced with this impasse and the urgency of their situation, three people decided to buy them in order to offer them a certain future. The Avon'ânes association was born.

These three donkeys have been the object of a tremendous surge of solidarity, which has ensured their future and daily support. The association's aim is to raise public awareness of the animal's many abilities, and to challenge the clichés that have prevailed for many years.

Since then, some forty donkeys have received help from the association's volunteers and found a new home.

Today, Kakou, Lasco, Myrtille and Melba welcome young and old alike, to their great delight.

One of the activities offered is hiking with donkey(s), which is not the same as horse-riding, but involves carrying your belongings or children weighing less than 25 kg.

Please note that carrying a child on the donkey's back is entirely your responsibility, but you will always be accompanied by a volunteer from the association. The child wears a bicycle helmet or canopy provided by the association.

Donkey rides: various circuits are available, starting from the Parc de Bel Ébat. Activity by the hour or for two hours. (Subject to availability, the health of our animals and mild weather).

Animal mediation for groups or individuals, adults and children.

Birthday parties, 1h30 of activity: ride, handling course, donkey-themed games for a group of up to 9 children.

Events; Christmas market, Fête de la Nature, Kermesses, Village festivals..... The presence of our long ears is a plus for your events.
