Like every year, the Impérial Trail takes place on the second weekend of September at the Solle racecourse, where the event starts and finishes.

Races are offered for all levels, adults and children, in an exceptional setting in the heart of the Fontainebleau forest. The various routes run through the forest of the Domaine de Fontainebleau, in collaboration with the ONF. This real trail is characterized by alternating blue courses, technical sections, rolling or sandy, numerous climbs and descents, which have a real "leg-breaking" effect.

"L'Impérial" is the flagship event of the Impérial Trail, in the heart of the Fontainebleau forest, with race distances ranging from 50 to 70 km, depending on the year.

The race falls into category M of the FFA running regulations.
