These few days of competition are organized by the École Militaire d'Équitation with the aim of testing and training young horses in this discipline.
The entire competition season is a training circuit for the horses, and the difficulty of the tests increases as the season progresses. For the younger riders, these competitions are a kind of combined eventing, where the horses are tested first on the flat, with a sequence of movements, then on a short round of jumping, before completing a cross-country course.
While young horses will be in the spotlight over the next few days, there will also be events for amateur and professional riders. You'll be able to watch more experienced horses in all three events.
